If you receive an error stating there was an issue creating your account make sure you have an email address in Canvas.
In Global Navigation, click the Account link [1], then click the Settings link [2].
In the Email Addresses section, click the Add Email Address link.

Examity Platform Requirements
Perform a computer systems check.
If your "Begin Exam" button isn't enabled after completed the pre exam set-up please check the following. Remember you must grant access to your webcam and microphone, then share your screen for this button to be enabled.
1. Make sure your screen is not being shared by another application.
2. For macOS users, you may need to "allow" your browser to record your screen through your Mac System Preferences.

After authentication and pre-test procedures, Examity should insert the exam password. If you don't see the password populated try the following steps below. Please be aware that TA's and Professors do NOT give access codes to students.
Proctorio may be installed on your computer.
1. Open Google Chrome
2. Navigate to the upper right corner, and find the small grey puzzle icon. Click on the puzzle icon.
3. Click on the 3 vertical dots
4. Click "Remove from Chrome."
5. Then, you will get the following Remove "Proctorio" window. Click the Remove button.
6. Refresh your page and access your Exam in Canvas.
Password is still not automatically inserting.
1. Click the extension icon located at the top right of your browser
2. Click the Examity icon to retrieve your password
3. Click Insert Password
If for whatever reason you failed to connect to the exam, it’s important to make sure the Examity extension is removed before starting over. Below we’ve outlined the steps you should take to start fresh.
1. Right click on the Examity icon at the top right of your browser. Or first click the puzzle piece icon at the top right.
2. Remove the extension from your browser.
3. Click the browser menu at the top right and select “Settings.”
4. Select “Clear browsing data.”
5. Check all three boxes and select a time range prior to your failed attempt. Then clear “Clear data.”
The best way to ensure Examity is completely shut down is to completely quit/shut down all windows of Chrome on your computer.
